White walls and blue domes on the rim of a drowned volcano.

Santorini is what remains of a volcanic island after a colossal eruption in the Bronze Age. Its villages line the caldera rim, looking down on the flooded crater far below.

When to go

May, June, September and October are warm, with softer crowds than high summer. The sea stays swimmable well into autumn.

How we would plan it

We look for a suite away from the busiest paths, add a private sail around the caldera and spend an afternoon among the island’s old basket-trained vines.

Shall we go?

Tell us your dates and what you hope to find. We will take it from there.
